Financing/Restructuring/Insolvency

Having acted for both borrowers and lenders for many years, we have an in-depth knowledge of the issues arising from banking matters. In addition, we have extensive experience of alternative forms of funding such as mezzanine, promissory and loan notes and other arrangements. Dealing with debt and debt structuring is a key facet of contemporary Irish commercial life and we have the requisite skills to advise our clients in this area.

We  act for receivers and liquidators and also have a keen understanding of the examinership process having acted for clients who have made significant investments into companies under examinership.

We can advise creditors and guarantors of the implications of corporate insolvency for them.

This area of law is changing rapidly, and we expect that the new Personal Insolvency legislation will bring fresh developments. As advisors in this space, we keep a close eye on these changes.

Our services to clients include:

  • Advising on terms of facilities agreements and security documentation
  • Negotiation of facility agreements and attendant security requirements
  • Advising on successful restructuring strategies for both business and private clients
  • Implementing solvent liquidation solutions to release asset portfolios
  • Acting for receivers and liquidators
  • Personal Insolvency advice, having regard to ongoing developments arising from the Personal Insolvency Bill 2012
